If you have the beta for FrontPage98 on your computer and insert the upgrade CD the program will eventually lock up and deny access to the 98 editor. So, the logical thing to do in the first place was to unistall the beta of FP 98, and do what you did in the end. You just got off to the wrong start.

They both are the same, just that the upgrade needs a previous qualifying OS, ie ME, 98, etc. So doing a clean install with an upgrade is no different I actually find it strange that some would pay for a full install disk when they are capable of using the upgrade disk for half the price to get the same result.
